Kid's Talk with Judith Roman Pediatric Speech Therapist Pathologist, Chicago, Glenview, North Shore
Judith Roman is a member of the American Speech Language Hearing
Association (ASHA) and the Illinois Speech Language Hearing
Association. She maintains a Certificate of Clinical Competence
in Speech Language Pathology and is a licensed Speech-Language
Pathologist in Illinois.
Judy’s qualifications go beyond those required for all speech
- She holds a current Award for Continuing Education, designated
by ASHA, her fourth three-year award. This award indicates
a dedication to learning the newest trends and interventions
within the field.
- Judy has provided extensive therapy services within Early
Intervention. Her knowledge of this early stage of language
learning provides a base for providing services for older
children as well.
- Judy is a Board Recognized Specialist in Child Language,
as designated by the Specialty Board on Child Language
of ASHA. This designation, according to the specialty board
recognizes “advanced knowledge, skills and experience in

extensive course-work that shows expertise in working with
children with limitations in functional activity as a result
of dysfunction in posture and movement.
- Judy has provided speech and language services for 10
years through Kid’s Talk. For nine plus prior years, she
worked at Northwestern University’s Speech and Language
Clinic, where she also received her degrees. She has extensive
experience working with professionals in fields including
occupational therapy, physical therapy, psychology, child
development, audiology, social work and nutrition services.
